Sheriff of Nottingham - 2nd Edition

The most successful Merchants in Nottingham offer the most exclusive goods, but the ever-watchful Sheriff maintains the checkpoint against such "Contraband", keeping it out of the city. The Merchants smuggle and the Sheriff searches, but who will get through and who will get caught?

In Sheriff of Nottingham, players are wily merchants bribing and bluffing their way into the city walls to stock their stalls with the best goods. Each round, a new player is the Sheriff, who can inspect any bag they want, searching for contraband. But they must be careful, as they'll have to pay a penalty if they find the Merchants were telling the truth, but if the Merchants get caught smuggling, they must pay a fine. This 2nd edition includes updated rules, as well as expansions such as rules for a 6th player, the Sheriff's Deputies, and the Black Market, for high risk/high reward plays.

Recommended for 3-6 players, ages 14+.
