Claude Monet (November 14, 1840- December 5, 1926), was largely held as a founding member of the Impressionist movement along with Auguste Renoir, Edouard Manet, and others. He rendered French countrysides with a painting technique that featured short suggestive brushstrokes. Monet had a passion for describing the passage of time by painting the same landscape numerous times.
